The Open Air Cinema – Help support a local arts initiative

Zachary is big into film and an all around good guy he has previously run a number of open air events in the Kent area but needs some support.  Each year Zach works hard alongside local businesses and volunteers to get these screenings off the ground.  Occasionally they are commissioned by local authorities to deliver screenings which in-turn help pay for more screenings in other locations.

The Open air cinema has now become an annual event and the only touring open-air cinema provider offering screenings for free around Kent.

Rising costs associated in running these events mean that sadly this year they did not have any screenings.

To re-start the screenings and make the Open Air Cinema more sustainable for years to come they will need to raise an additional £13,000 which will go towards:-

  • Safety equipment to comply with local authority standards.
  • Re-new equipment.
  • Insurances.
  • Licenses.
  • Security and First Aid training for volunteers.

Zach has now started an indiegogo campaign which starts at a fiver.  By pledging you not only have that warm feeling that comes form making something lovely happen, but you will also get invited to at least one exclusive pledgers only secret open air film screening on these dates:-

  • July 25th 2014 Margate
  • July 26th 2014 Folkestone
  • July 27th 2014 Tunbridge Wells

You will get a chance to suggest the film you most want to see. The best ones are the ones that require dressing up and singing. Plus there are a host of perks including some for local businesses.
